Film photographer. I get very little work done due to my unending love of all things Sherlock.

Midwest Sherlock Con - Update #1

The planning for a midwestern Sherlock con is in full swing. In the coming weeks we’ll be touring some venues in the Minneapolis and St Paul areas, as well as some spots in western Wisconsin.

Thanks to everyone who has already submitted a survey. Of course, we’d like to get as much feedback as possible, so…

We STILL need your help!

You can find out site at The Game is On! - we’d be really appreciative if you could take a few minutes to take our survey and help us design panels and programming you’d like to see.

Please send us your ideas, things you’d like to see, do, and be involved in during the con. We want our con to be as creative and diverse as all the ridiculously awesome members of the Sherlock fandom.

Thanks!

When it comes to fucking with your fandom, how do you rank yourself on a scale of Anne Rice to Misha Collins?

OMG I LOVE THIS MAN

Anne Rice and Interview with the Vampire was my original fandom, back in the early ’90s. “Spec writers” (speculative fiction) back then were terrified of the repercussions of posting their work.

Whole communities shut down across the newsgroups that had hosted IWTV specs (fics) and that community never really recovered. There’s a smattering of stuff on AO3, but nothing like there once was back in the day.

I’m pleased to see some of these new actors and writers tolerating and in some cases even publicly encouraging writers and artists. It’s not perfect, but as someone who has been through the years when it was completely underground, it’s nice to see at least some level of acceptance.

I’m in love with this photo! (I’m in the second one.) I was actually Afghanistan!Moran for the cosplay competition, though I was originally Afghanistan!John.

Could I have the raw of that one? Thank you! <3

Eeek, sorry about that! I’ve corrected my description on the source post ;) Absolutely…I’ll send you a message with the URL where you can download the photo.

I’m so glad you liked it! :D

A piece commissioned piece by the owner of a 150 year old building being torn down; he asked me to shoot something that looked “historical and somber.” Not much to go on, I’m afraid.
Quite the shift from my recent candid work involving ridiculously good looking Sherlockians…
